Go wireless ...

From the time I bought laptop, I was looking for wireless headphone/mic option. Since, bluetooth headset/headphones would serve two-way wireless communication between computer and with mobile phone. And also, with the buzz around IP telephony, bluetooth stereo headset might give me some mobility. Recently, I was stumbled on a deal from Kyocera (GSH300) Headset/Headphone for 30$. When 'buy.com' categorized it for non-returnable, I was little hesitant to proceed. But, I decided to check out the cheap and sweet deal. Finally, I brought it through google checkout option for 20$.

When it had arrived, I paired it with my mobile with a little bit of a hiccup. I was really glad by the sound clarity it offered. Having balanced the returned on investment, I tried milking more from the product. I was again surprised by the easy with which Mac deducted the Head-Set. I said to myself, "Let me hear some music". Thats it. That was the end of happy story. Mac was not able to send or receive audio signal. I was little pissed off. I also tried paring with a windows machine, but same story there too.

Later, by surfing the internet for a day, I learned that mac does not support A2DP (Advance audio distribution profile) protocol used by blue tooth headsets. I didn't give up my search for alternate options. By refining search keys, i did find instructions to invoke bluetooth headset in mac through sound routing option. Applications namely 'Jack Router' and 'a2dpcast' working in synergy can grab the audio input/output and send out a2dp signals to bluetooth headset. Since some tireless minds already had figured the way, I simply followed the instruction. Though the mobility was not 10 m as mentioned, I could listen 10 feet away from my computer. Nevertheless, it was a damn good deal.

How you doing?

"Hi, How you doing?" these are words I struggled hard all my life to say. Whenever someone visited our home, I would have a scheduled session followed by it from my parents. Because, I would not have uttered those comforting words to them. For the same reason, I restrained myself from attending phone calls to calling door. It was hard for me to greet someone whom I didn't know. Most of the time, I went through the sessions calmly and sometimes counter argued saying, "I see them in good health. Then, why should I ask them." Sometimes I went further and said, "These formalities look phony to me".

Once when I was in elevator, the door opened and someone just had entered. He just glimpsed at me and asked, "Hi, How you doing?". I was surprised and overwhelmed to see a stranger asking me that question. I was kind of taken back instead of responding instantly. When I was about to respond, I lost eye contact with that person. Again, I was in embarrassment of not answering at the right moment. Similar incidents of receiving greeting from strangers happened frequently. The harder I tried to respond, every time I missed the eye contact in milli, micro and nano seconds. It really took me very long time to understand that it was not about the question and it was definitely not about the answer. But, it was worth going through the embarrassment to break the invisible layer of ice between me and a stranger. I told myself, "why do a stranger always comfort me? why cant I comfort someone instead? May be thats how a person moves from 'unknown' to 'known' category.". I learned a valuable lesson. Though I didn't ask every soul passing by me, but at least I tried to ask when my eyes met someone. It was awkward moment. Still, it is for me. But when Joey Tribbiani says it effortlessly, "Hey, How...you...doing?" in a flirting sense. Oh yeah, it is worth that embarrassment.

I am just kidding, that is not part of the lesson.

Angels & Demons

Lately, my reading had shrunk to zero. So, I forcefully made an attempt to read something. I went to my apartment library to grab some bytes to bite. I am not sure whether it can be called as a 'library'. It is just half a shelf collection of books. I placed my hand in dark corner of the shelf to reach out for 'Angels & Demons'. I had heard about the book through my friends after the 'Da Vinci Code' hype. But, nothing much about the plot.

Even with few pages of reading, it was interesting to see juxtaposed facts from science, history and religion. I am always interested to know about latest things in science. Hence, my interest in knowing about plot was overshadowed by the curiosity to know the truth about anti-matter. I surfed and to my surprise CERN had put FAQs for things discussed in the book about anti-matter and CERN. I knew some bits about the anti-particle and annihilation concept. But, I never heard of using it to explain the Big Bang theory and importantly, that it can be used as Atom-bomb(no...precisely Particle Bomb). It was nice to go through the link and to re-iterate the rudimentary concepts in physics. It is possible to use anti-matter as atom bomb or a source of electricity. But, it is not possible create them as source of energy. How could I ever forget the law of conservation of energy 'Energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another'. I asserted to myself that the convoluted idea of using anti-matter as bomb or electricity was nothing but fiction and, pure fiction. Then, I continued with the plot peacefully.

Later, I thought about author's idea of fiction. He collected all the facts and then, stacked them one over another as a deck of cards. Finally, he removed a few cards from the deck at his convenience and presented the new deck. Nevertheless , it looked stunning than pure Sci-Fi.

Tidbits : Tom hanks is acting in the upcoming film based on this novel. I guess, this will be a very good story compared to 'Da Vinci code' for celluloid screen version.

CX310-090 Free downloads

"Should I go for the CX310-090 exam?" was a long pending transaction waiting to be committed or rolled back. Finally, I committed and completed the certification successfully. The CX310-090 is for EJB 2.0 component developer. The part of my dilemma was due to the new exam in market for EJB 3.0. But, I decided to go with EJB 2.0. Since I had had some hands on it.

The purpose of the blog is to consolidate some useful free links which I surfed across during the preparation. Since I could not find all the links in one place. Here it goes...

Link 1 - It is a very useful link from enthuware. They offer 4 full mock tests for free. Since they switched to a new model of testing.
Link 2 - This is again from enthuware. This one offers some 30 sample questions in the new model.
Link 3 - This one is from Whizlabs. It offers 16 questions and one mock test. But, with the trail version the test would not be evaluated.
Link 4 - It offers 30 Sample questions.
Link 5 - This one also offers 30 Sample questions.

All the best!!!

Shivaji fever - fervor

I still remember the day I watched Gentleman, standing in a long queue. From that day, I had watched all of Shankar's movies till 'Shivaji' in theatre. The one thing which has not changed yet. It is the long queue. Every time I go to his movie with a skeptical feeling of "Will he be able to live up to the expectation of his previous film?" "What new interesting things he would have in this movie?" But till now, he has not failed, at-least not me.

Song picturization is always a treat to eyes in his movies. And, he knows the knack of blending CG, seamlessly. It is worth mentioning the effects made in 'Sun light' song. I was literally shocked seeing the first frame of the song. "Something is different. Oh man! Rajini was turned into british color. Oh! even his lips. Great Job". Shankar, the gentle man's obsession with glass in form of bus takes a new level in 'Shahana' song. The Geometrical figures with Green house like bang-low made me greedier than Midas. Shankar always loves grandiosity and wants to bring it in each song. But, you need a good theme to make an impression. "What else can be a good theme than a 'King's Ordeal'?" He succeeded with that in Indian(Maya), Jeans (Anbe) and Mudhalvan (Mudhalvane). He did it with 'Vaji' song once again. It wouldn't be complete leaving Shreya. She was steaming hot in that song. I wondered about the highest payment to Vali for his incoherent 'Thee thee' lyrics. But, it all made sense seeing the choreography for it. The music, the style, the theme, vocal etc simply mind blowing.

I never expect story in Super star movies. It is the same candy wrapped in new cover. But who cares? It is all about the entertainment value. Rajini still rules there even without 'Punch dialogues'. I liked the idea behind Vivek making punches. Definitely, this movie raised the bar of expectation for Rajini movies yet to come. I feel the next director has to smack his head with ideas to beat it!!!

Paradise lost? or Regained ?

In a group of six guys, what could be the possible topics of discussions ? Invariably, girls. But fortunately or weirdly we discussed something more hot. During most part of our smokies trip, we discussed about the issues with Israel and Palestine. The group was mixed by level of acquaintance on the subject. we had variety of personalities with - an extremely exposed person as far as the subject was concerned, a person like me with a little bit of knowledge, next one who was completely ignorant but with curiosity to understand and the rest of the folks as silent listeners. The discussion went on and on starting from the formation of Jews and their promised land. And also, about the various invasion and change of power of holy land from Moss's era to Olmert.

There is an old adage saying, " The root cause for any trouble would be over one of land, damsel or gold." I am not sure how much of it was true at that time. But it fits well in the groove of current issues of endless boundary talks, Green or control lines etc. Coming to the part about Palestine, after the discussion, it raised so many questions in me. I did read a lot after that discussion. It came as shocking that Palestine is an not independent country today. Though PLO proclaimed it as an independent state but not all the countries recognize it that way. And also, the chronicle events like Israel declaration of independence on 1948, a year later the war on Israel by the neighboring nations, 20 years later Israel's rebut against the neighbouring nations - explain the eerie life of inmates there. On Jun 5 this month, Israel remembered the historic 6 days fight for paradise regain. But every day bombing and evacuation of Gaza might tell us a different story about the paradise. The major part of Palestine is still under the occupation of Israel military. I am not going to be judgemental about Israel or Palestine of their actions. I know, everything is fair in love and war. Each side has their own explanation and belief. But it is filling my mind with gray clouds just thinking about the life of common people there.

Palestine has so much attention of the world. Till now, there is no amicable settlement for this issue. So What about similar issue going on less visible regions of the world? Be it Kashmir, LTTE etc ? When will the world live in peace for at least a day or even a minute ?

Whitewater rafting

When we see thrill sports like sky diving, skiing, bungee jump etc., we try to visualize our self and feel excited about it. But when it comes to real action, most of us would say, "It ain't that exciting to try ". The same thing happened with couple of members in our group when I proposed the idea of rafting. With great deal of time(?), we convinced them.

We did whitewater rafting in Big Pigeon River, Smokies Mountain. It was roughly a six mile stretch with variety of rapids from Class I to IV. They had names for every rapid. The amicable instructor wanted to make us comfortable during the journey. So he asked for translation of instructions in our language, unaware of the situation that each one of us had their own language. We agreed for commands in Tamil and we taught him three words 'forward', 'backward' and 'Stop'. It was real fun to hear him.

Some of the Class III and IV rapids really shook us bad. But, personally I expected it to be little more rapid and rough than what was present. I guess the water flow was bit lenient. We expected a couple of tumbles into the stream. Our dream went in vain. Nevertheless, It was a very good experience and our understanding about rafting was changed completely.

Home Improvement

Prologue: During college days, I was more passionate about two things - Programming and Computer Aided Design. When I was working with soft-wares like PRO-E,Auto-CAD etc, I searched for opportunities to use 3D modelling beyond bolt, carburetor designs. I found one interesting area where it can be used extensively - 'house planning'. I decided to build 3D model before in hand using tools whenever I am ready to build my own house.
3D Design:

Front View of my proposed house.

Cut down top Angle view of First Floor

First floor hall and lobby space.

(can you see the reflection on the marbles?)

Combined ground and first floor hall.

Hall and Kitchen from Dining space.

Now, I am all excited to see the real one and compare with my model. And then, I have to boast around saying " See. It just looks exactly same as my 3D model". It is just that I have to spend over 20 lacs :-(
Note: this 3D model is developed using application called "Cheetah 3D". It took sometime to understand features. I believe it was worth that effort.

Web of Life

Spider-Man is spinning his web all over the world. The movie is breaking records one after another. Even, the movie makers are going wild with the crazy figures. As a matter of fact, I was also caught in the web. Though I had not read any comics, I am a fan of spidey from young age. I used to collect egg shells and make spidey mask. But that is not the point.

I like all of his celluloid adventures for one reason. It is not because Spider-man is a superhero. It is because of the way they balance life with super thoughts.

Spidey 1: "Remember, with great power. comes great responsibility."

Spidey 2: "I believe there is a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble. And finally gets us to die with pride. Even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want most, even our dreams."

Spidey 3: "He wouldn't want us living with revenge in our hearts, it's like a poison. It can take you over and turn us into something ugly."

We have both good and bad within ourself. Finally, we choose.

Feel the heat

Question 1: Once a friend of mine who used to visit my home(U.S) regularly asked me, "Whenever I come, I always see you in the kitchen cleaning or cutting vegetables? Do you really like cooking ?"

Question 2: During my regular home call session, my mom suddenly asked, "What are you going to bring me from U.S?" As I always like to pull her, I replied "Whether I bring something or not, you are going to remain as my mom. Then, why should I take the trouble of bringing something?" She must have gone berserk with that answer.

Answer: Both these questions might be miles apart. But the answers to them are related. Definitely, cooking, ironing, cleaning are not exhilarating work for me. They are monotonous, irritating and more than that, I am not paid. Then why I do it ?

For the initial 20 years of my life, I had never done any of that stuff. Even, I had not entered the kitchen for drinking water. I got food wherever I was sitting. Everyday, my mom washed and pressed clothes neatly for me. She had never complained about doing all these things for me. Probably she must have worried when I was staying outside. All she wanted from me, was to be little more responsible about my activities.

Everything changes with time. Now, I cook my food. I wash and press my clothes. I clean home. When I say that I am doing all of this on my own, my mom is really happy. She is also proud that she had brought up someone who can feel women's heat in kitchen. I don't think I can match that with any tangible gifts.

Children of Heaven

It’s about the plight of a nine-year-old boy named, Ali and his younger sister, Zahra. In the first Scene, the boy loses his sister's shoes through a mishap. And in the last scene, he wins a 4-kilometer running race. In between, the director has laid every scene like bricks one after another. Even for a minute the movie does not digress and everything revolves around the nucleus of the story, 'the lost shoes'. Entire flow of story can also be viewed as rippling effect caused by the lost shoes. Besides the screenplay, the strong backbone for the movie is the kids. It is like watching children next door. They are so realistic and adorable on their expressions.

In the first few frames where the shoe being repaired, Ali doing groceries, mother's quarrel with house owner and Zahra babysitting depicts the condition of the family. And also, it shows responsibilities on the little shoulders. After a vein search for the lost shoes, Ali returns home. He begs and convinces his sister not to tell their parents. He also comes up with the idea of sharing his sneakers with her. And following scenes explain the practical difficulties of sharing on both Ali's and Zahra's end.

In particular scene, I was in my seat edge, biting my nails. Like everyday, she runs back from school to return the sneakers to her brother. When she jumps casually, one of the sneakers falls into the gutter. It travels down with the sewer water. She runs along with it to catch. It is nothing like a Hollywood car chase, in spite of it the girl’s desperation on the face made me nervous.

Another twist comes, when she sees her lost shoes in the school assembly. Sneakily following the footsteps, she traces the girl wearing it. Ali and Zahra follow her home but only to know that her dad is blind. Everyday, Zahra sees her wearing the shoe cravingly. The Kid’s every expressions, be it happiness, misery, contentment, failures worth every single penny.

The movie is like a silent stream flowing continuously. I don’t want to get into nuance of every scene. But, it might bring back some of your old memories. So you better watch it.

K for ????

We have all been there. I could sense you nodding partially and, partially suspicious. But I am sure we have all been there. When we start searching for something but finally end up being somewhere. It happened to me when I ended up at 'How to Kiss' on Youtube. The feature was not to provoke your senses. But it presented good theoretical and practical approaches about it. Many say Kiss as 'Keep it straight and simple'. I don't think it is that simple. It has always fascinated me from the time I started seeing it on celluloid screen.

In the video, they discussed about variety of kisses ranging from the shy type to French ones. They also presented statistical survey about different methods. In a way, it is a language. It can communicate affection and love. Different one conveys different meaning and defines the relationship between the communicator. Out of all presented, the useful one was 'Make up Kiss'. That might come handy for all men since we know why. I had seen almost all the varieties showed in the video, thanks to cinema. But never expected the funny one named "Electric Kiss". I thought they named it metaphorically, but later learned that it was based on literal meaning. Here, the concerned parties charged themselves with static charge by rubbing against wool or carpet. Then, they drained the charge through a sparkling smooch. Could you believe people actually tried this? However I have my doubts of hygiene about the French, I better deter not. But 'Neck' and 'Ear' are the most romantic ones for me. Hmm, they showed many different types, but it wasn't complete enough. The video lacked some heroic ones like- the hanging upside down Spider-man kiss. Probably, they could have added it with a disclaimer note 'not for humans'.

Everyone who experienced their first kiss would definitely be cherishing it in their memory. Anyways, I am still waiting to make that memory. I am looking for the window of ...

Reservation

All men and women are created equally. But, they cannot be treated equally in order to create equal opportunity. That is the basis for 'Reservation' system. Many argue that reservation system should be abolished. I would also say so, in an ideal world. In a country like India, which is so diverse economically and socially, requires reservation in every field right from schools, colleges, hospitals, jobs etc. There is nothing wrong with the concept of reservation; indeed it is the only way to improve standards of underprivileged to acceptable limits. It is a fact that every country has some kind of reservation for underprivileged.

In India, when it was introduced, the idea was to iron out the difference. And in course of time, abolish the system. So far, we have not ironed out but produced more wrinkles. Everyday, commotion on reservation system is increasing. Political parties use that as weapon for their gains. If something needs to be blamed, then it should be the implementation but not the system or concept. I was looking for an analogy to demonstrate the success of reservation. I couldn't get a better example than world cup 2007. Though minnows are being battered in league and super eight matches, the intermittent upsets throw some light on the system. When you think of reservation in education, it is not a jump pad for person entering through the backdoor. It is rather a proving ground. They definitely have to raise their levels in order to compete with others and to stay alive. When the person fails to coupe up with demands and standards, it cannot be attributed as a system failure. Instead, administrator should work to improve the system. They should not just give the route guide, but also should make sure the journey.

Any system, which is running for long needs over hauling, so does reservation. Reservation should be based on demand and supply chain. We need to provide support for people who are in need. The foundation for reservation should be based on a strong evaluation system. How can reserving jobs for religious minorities serve the purpose? Whom should the seat in bus be reserved? For a disable or a religious minority? The example sited may seem trivial, but I see no difference. Everyone who is rational will agree that the disable is the one in need of seat irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. Here, the evaluation parameter is 'Ability'. When it comes to education & jobs, the evaluation parameter should be even stronger. Many years ago, in TamilNadu reservation was based on income, so called 'Cream layer' concept. Cream layer based on income will work in certain areas but not for education. We need even stronger evaluation system to fit most important areas like education. For instance, each person should be awarded an ability score based on parent's education, job, economic strata, resource availability etc. Then, reserve seats for the under privilege. It is not an easy task for the administrator. But that does not grant them to throw reservation easy.

In many cases, people who are in need are not aware of the system. Only law twisters bend it for their gains. Administrator should also create awareness about the opportunities through reachable mediums. Currently, statistics shows vacant area (to be filled) in the current configuration itself. In that case, increasing the percentage for backward classes or some minorities will be bring only pan-demonic reaction. Reservation is an aid and is not all. Therefore, the root cause for issues like low literacy among backward classes needs to be identified and addressed duly.

Cats Eye

Brain remembers and recollects things not just by storing entities, but also by adding various attributes like sound, colour, feature etc. to it. Like wise, the feel of going to gym starts when I first hear the distinct sounds- galloping beat from the treadmill, the 'ting' of the dropping weight, the continuous rumbling of motors. Even though the gym wouldn't be far from where I hear the sounds, the sounds serve as a beacon. At times, the noise proof glass doors turned off the beacon. But still, I would have a visual reasoning of why. Not just the sound, the people, and their traits are another feature of it. The middle-aged women walking in with a cookie, the fit guy who runs with small weights, the girl who lifts heavy weight, the lean man who walks past the window and, the earphone women who comes and leaves by the stroke of clock hands are never changing signs.

After a brief hiatus, I resumed gym today. When I was walking towards the Gym, I could not hear the beacon. But, the doors were wide open. I entered the gym, to my surprise it was just filled with air and equipments. It seemed like devoid of energy. I had been to it through lean and rush hours, but it was never empty. Though I started my routine, I could not control the soliloquy. I asked myself serious of questions. Like, "Is the world coming to an end? And I am the only person who was not informed about it. Or, Is it because of Good Friday? People wanted to save the day for their families rather then spending time here." But it didn't sound right, because I could still see people jogging outside through the window. “Or, people just quit because I was missing for more than couple of days". When I was still thinking on that line, Gym started flocking slowly. I laughed at myself. In many occasion, we think we are the drive for even natural causes. It is like a cat thinking that the world becomes dark, when it closes eyes.

Spring springs!!!

Did you fail to make a New Year resolution? Here, comes another opportunity. It is the 'Spring break’. Though, it is not fixed as calendar one but it is a sense of new beginning. It signifies new birth. It rejuvenates and animates all form of life. It frees us from shackles (those enjoyed winter ignore).

Plants and trees get their new leaves fresh and green; they blossom with beautiful flowers. The city adorns itself with green. And, flowers of color
violet, blue, yellow, orange, red and white
add to its texture. The fragrance of flowers adds more value to the warm air. Change is not just in nature, but also in people. Especially, women in their colourful, short, light, fitting apparels is a lovely sight to watch. Sudden flocking in streets makes me wonder, "Where were they hibernating long?" Additionally, saving day light helps us all linger more out.

In Tropical regions, these changes are not so visible since change in temperature would be 5 - 10 degrees. We realize the sanctuary of shadow only under scorching sun. Let it not happen this spring. Like life, season is also not everlasting and ought to change. Nevertheless, that makes it more worthwhile spending.

Broken Record

Have you ever received a phone call or mail saying, "You have won money or Gift?" If so, how did you feel? Happy, that you were really lucky. Or, suspicion, that you were so gullible. A similar thing happened to me two weeks back. I am a kind of person who spends half the time researching how I earned and the remaining half in planning to spend. So, it was no wonder I felt both.

The gift was worth 3000$. But there is no free money. Money is given at the cost of getting more money. All I need to get the gift was to attend a presentation for 90 minutes. Never, I move by 'Easy money'. But still there was a bit of hesitation to reject the offer. I decide to take the offer based on one significant vouch. The Rep who called me to inform about the offer spelled by my last name perfectly. It has '18' characters. In US, irrespective of person I meet, the icebreaker is my last name. It is so difficult for people to pronounce and systems to accept. Even it is not perfect in my SSN,bank account, cerdit card etc. So, I decided that it is not completely bogus and wanted to study the management strategy behind it.

I was not aware that presentation was about a sale till I reached there. Believe me, they believe in what they do. I didn’t go just to collect the gifts. I did listen to it. The person who took the presentation did an awesome job. And, the concept presented was also good. It was definitely a money saver in long term. The idea was based on the simple fact of rewarding customer for loyalty with vendor. Now days, this is a key marketing strategy. It had real value, but not for everyone. And, not definitely for me.

After the presentation, two Reps tried convincing me to invest in vain. I used the technique called 'Broken Record'. As you may know the record gets stuck where it was broken and plays the same verse again and again. Every time they explained the features about the investment I replied following "The proposal was really a money saver but, my reasons..." "I would love to take the offer however, my reasons..." "It is a fantastic idea still, my reasons..." The Rep was completely disappointed and let me go. Finally, I left the place with just my freebie.

Peer pressure

A seven year old kid who is going for chess class on Monday, swimming on Tuesday, dance on Wednesday, piano on Thursday, math on Friday, instructs her mother, "Please move my math on Monday right after chess, so I can get Friday free for tennis". The reason nothing but her friends are going more number of classes than her. As you know, more number of engineers are passing out every year in India, the big 'B' is planning his son's marriage in a way that had happened never before, Iran trying to acquire nuclear capability and, at the same time, US trying to prevent it. Whatever, the magnitude of these actions? Or, whoever is doing it? It can collectively be called as "Peer Pressure".

In many occasions, I also had succumbed to it. And, many of my decisions were made without much pondering. I would not argue that it had directed me to an irrecoverable path. But, definitely it had placed my journey on different routes. Though I made a good living out of my choices, sometime the little voice inside asks "Is that what you wanted?". I have nothing much to answer than "Shut up!". But the rumbling never stops.

A toad on the water should use gills and one on the land should use nostrils. It would be a catastrophe other way around. Slowly, I realized the importance of decision making. Every time, when I have the urge to do something, I learned to ask myself three questions "Is that what I want? Why do I want? How far I go to get it?" May be, I won't be able to keep up with the pace of the world. May be, I fail to seize the right moment. But, definitely my little voice would be dumb once and for all.

Dormant Volcano

Most of us want to go gym. But, only a few can make it. And, in that very few go regularly. As we know, before we work out our body, we need to work out our mind, which is very difficult. I also had had many futile attempts to go to Gym. But, the current streak is by far the best. I would attribute it to one small change in the execution. Normally, I pursue gym in the evening. But this time I tried morning.

In my experience, morning gym is better than evening. My past evening attempts didn't work out due to- body had worn-out by the time I start and mind supported the fact. Finally, the synergy effect of body and mind pulled me down. On the contrary, morning is better for two reasons -body is fresh, a quick warm up can help me get on my feet and mind is like an unarmed enemy, the right moment to conquer it.

Again, going in the morning is not as easy as it sounds. There were two things, which I couldn't compromise in life for a long time -morning sleep and bed coffee (without brushing teeth - for some ignorant souls). However, I had to give up the later when I left the fairy place called "home". My mind didn't put much battle against me, since it knew there was no alternative.

Nevertheless, it was not an easy task with morning sleep. I had to rage a furious battle against my mind for years. Though I seem to win the battle for now. Still, it is like a dormant volcano trying to erupt anytime. The only way to succeed is to accept there exist the volcano and making it dormant forever.

Note: Scientific studies argue that an action performed for 21 days regularly, becomes part of our habit. The reason I am writing this story is because I went past that mark yesterday.

Mind of a Child

I want mind of a child for the following reasons...
It is so volatile when think of hatred.
It is so reflective when think of knowledge.
It is so innovative when think of action.

I always inspire from child's unquenchable thirst to achieve more
- They try to crawl, when barely started using their knees
- They try to walk, when barely started crawling
- They try to run, when barely started walking

When we are child, we are so determinative to achieve what we want. But, it is not so now.
The reason I think...
we GROW.

Make the blue...Green

'Earth' a part of the infinite universe believed to be formed from just dust. In course of time, it has become man's primary and only inhabitance. Everyday we better living with our intuitive knowledge from nature itself. In return, we give nothing but- greenhouse gas, deforestation, pollution to our mother nature. It is not far off that we are going to reap what we sow. In spite of outcries for a greener land, we have not made enough progress. In my opinion, we need changes both in law and in people.
Laws should be made more stringent. Since, it can bring in changes at the macro level, at quicker rate. Many people at least 80% abide by law just because they are liable to do so or, for the penalty. In either case, it can bring in immediate changes. But, law makers are hesitant to bring more rules and restrictions for their own shorter political gains. I would not deny the fact that there are changes going on making earth greener and a better place. For example, united states the largest consumer of wood. They came back strongly for the larger deforestation issue due to their lumber industries. They passed bill for Lumber Industries to cultivate the forest when they are done with wood in a particular site before shutdown. Industries will not take safer disposal unless it is a mandate or cheaper way. So, only law can make the required changes here.
Change in people mentality is also required to bring in changes at micro level. We should be taught and be made aware that a butterfly's flapping wings can send a ripple of causation through out the world so does our individual action. Unconsciously, we pull back when we touch fire. Likewise, we must reflex to refrain from activities which can cause harm to our environment. These things should start from a grass root level. Now a days, even people are interested and are moving towards building environment friendly home with bio-degradable paints, woods, insulation etc. This is a welcome sign but the figures are not satisfying. As the fat percentage marked on the edible substances, there should be some kind environment friendly level mentioned in all consumer items. People should choose greener products.
We have grown to a level of exploring possibility of life in other planets far, far away. Till now, to our knowledge, nothing more than this blue planet could be conducive. This has been our abode for millions and millions of years now. It is an inconvenient truth that we are sensing the changes because of our hostile actions. We cannot let the earth go back to just dust. We ought to make the world greener and we can.
